FAQs
Why Should I Get an Outdoor TV Instead of Just Using my Indoor TV Outside?
Outdoor TVs are built to handle the weather - rain, sun, you name it, so they’re way more durable than indoor TVs. They are built with weatherproof, galvanised steel designs, extra bright screens for those sunny days (out TVs are up to 13x brighter than your average indoor TV!), and materials that resist rust and corrosion.
Basically, if you want a TV that’s going to last and look great outside, an outdoor TV is the way to go!
Are They Actually Weatherproof?
Our SPARK TV ranges are all designed for use outdoors.
Our Patio & Alfresco ranges are specifically designed for high brightness, covered outdoor areas, such as pool cabanas, covered patios and balcony's. These TVs are able to handle low and high temperatures, but are only suited to areas where they are not directly exposed to the elements.
Our Element, Pavilion 2 and Lumin ranges are fully weather and waterproof. These TVs will handle brightness like a pro and withstand rain.
How Much Does Shipping Such a Heavy TV Cost?
We are happy to offer free and fast shipping to greater metro areas across Australia. For orders outside of the greater metro please contact us for a freight quote.
We use a variety of carriers to make sure you get your TV as quickly as possible. If you live in an area where you find delivery can sometimes be tricky, give us a call before you order and we will make sure we chat with you about the best way to get the delivery to you.
How do I Clean and Take Care of my Outdoor TV?
Thankfully, keeping your outdoor TV clean is simple! Just use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to wipe off dust. For smudges, lightly dampen the microfiber cloth with clean water, gently wipe the area then dry with a separate clean cloth. Avoid anything abrasive that could scratch the screen, and check the vents and connections now and then to make sure they’re clear and dry.
How do I Mount my Outdoor TV?
All of our Spark Outdoor TVs have VESA mounting systems - the VESA mounting system is the same style that is used on indoor TVs.
The main consideration when looking at a mount is ensuring that it is rated to withstand the weight of our TVs. For more information read our article about Mounting Your Outdoor TV.
Can I Connect my Devices to the Spark TVs?
The Spark range have all of the standard TV connections, including HDMI, USB, WiFi and Bluetooth ports of a standard TV. This means you can seamlessly connect devices such as your Chromecast, Apple TV, sound bar or laptop the exact same way you would on an indoor TV.
What warranty comes with your outdoor TVs?
Every Spark outdoor TV comes with a 2-year warranty from the original invoice date, for both home and commercial installs. If a part fails, such as the speakers, motherboard or networking, we organise the repair at our cost: on-site where we have a local repair agent, otherwise back to base, with freight covered. If the screen fails through no fault of the customer, including dead pixels, backlight failure or condensation inside the panel, we repair or replace the TV at our cost. Spark Enterprise Series enclosures carry a 24-month warranty, Spark Pro Series enclosures 12 months, and mounts and soundbars 1 year.
What isn't covered by the warranty?
Physical damage to the screen, such as an object hitting it, and water damage from submersion. Our IP55 TVs handle rain and water jets, but they can't be submerged, for example in a pool. The warranty also doesn't cover incorrect installation, removing and reinstalling the TV, or screen damage from installing a Partial Sun model in direct sun.
