Our Commitment to Quality

At Outdoor TVs Australia, we stand behind the quality and performance of our products. Every product we sell is built for Australian conditions and tested to perform in real outdoor environments.

This warranty outlines what is covered, how to make a claim, and your rights as a customer under Australian law.

In short:
Our TVs are built for outdoors and backed by a 2-year warranty (1 year on accessories). If something goes wrong due to a fault, we’ll repair, replace or refund in line with Australian Consumer Law.


Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure
  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage

You are also entitled to have the goods:

  • Repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality
    and the failure does not amount to a major failure

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the ACL.

Designed for Outdoor Use

Our outdoor TVs are specifically engineered for external environments, unlike standard indoor televisions.

IP55 Rated TVs

Certain models are rated IP55, meaning they are:

  • Protected against dust ingress (limited protection)
  • Protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction

This makes them suitable for permanent outdoor installation, including exposure to:

  • Rain
  • Humidity
  • Heat and cold

However, IP55 does not mean waterproof or submersible. TVs should not be:

  • Submerged in water
  • Exposed to high-pressure water (e.g. pressure washers)
  • Installed in locations prone to flooding or water pooling

Weatherproof vs Weather Resistant

To ensure the correct use of each product:

  • Weatherproof (IP-rated models)
    Designed to be installed outdoors year-round, fully exposed to the elements
  • Weather Resistant (non-IP-rated models)
    Designed for undercover outdoor areas only
    (e.g. alfresco, patios, balconies) and should not be directly exposed to rain

Incorrect installation or use outside of these conditions may void warranty.


What’s Covered

This warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
  • Faults under normal residential or commercial use
  • Electrical or component failures not caused by misuse

What’s Not Covered

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Improper installation or incorrect mounting
  • Use outside of intended environmental conditions
  • Accidental damage, impact, or misuse
  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs
  • Power surges or electrical issues not related to the product
  • Neglect, corrosion, or build-up due to lack of maintenance
  • Use of high-pressure water cleaning equipment

Installation Requirements

To maintain warranty coverage:

  • Products must be installed in accordance with provided guidelines
  • Suitable mounting and ventilation must be used
  • Electrical connections must comply with Australian standards

We recommend installation by a qualified professional.


Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product is faulty, please contact us with:

  • Your order number or proof of purchase
  • A description of the issue
  • Photos and/or videos showing the fault

Once assessed, we will determine the appropriate outcome in line with ACL, which may include:

  • Repair
  • Replacement

Assessment & Resolution

  • Products may need to be returned or inspected
  • If the issue is deemed a warranty claim, Outdoor TVs Australia will cover reasonable costs associated with repair or replacement
  • If the issue is not covered under warranty, we will provide a quote for repair or replacement

Commercial Use

This warranty applies to both residential and commercial installations. However:

  • Commercial environments with higher usage may experience increased wear and tear
  • Warranty coverage applies to manufacturing faults, not usage-related degradation over time
