Poolside Install: Spark Pavilion 2 Pro 75" Setup

With summer getting closer, Tracey wanted to make the most of the pool area at her home in New Farm, QLD: somewhere to entertain guests, watch the races and catch the sport, right by the water.

The brief

Putting a TV next to a pool comes with two big worries. The first is water. The second is glare, because a pool acts like a giant mirror, bouncing sunlight straight onto the screen and washing out the picture.

Tracey wanted a TV that could handle both, without having to think twice every time someone jumped in.

Why we recommended the Pavilion 2 Pro

After a few conversations and a few photos of the area, we recommended the 75" Spark Pavilion 2 Pro.

  • 2500-nit 4K QLED display: a bright, vivid picture made for full sun
  • Matte anti-reflective screen: even when the sun hits the pool and reflects onto the TV, you get a clean, crisp picture instead of a reflection
  • IP55 weather protection: built to live outside, splashes included
  • Integrated cooling fans: keeps it running through an Aussie summer
  • LG webOS: built-in streaming, so the races and sport are easy to find

The matte screen is what makes the Pavilion ideal for highly reflective spots like poolside. Brightness helps you see the picture. The anti-reflective finish makes sure the pool isn't competing with it.

The result

Tracey's pool area is now ready for summer, with a big, clear screen for race days, the footy and long afternoons with friends.

Choose the Pavilion 2 Pro if: "My TV is going beside the pool, and I want a clear picture with minimal glare and reflections."

FAQ

What is the difference between an outdoor TV and a regular TV?

Outdoor TVs are built with weatherproof housings, anti-glare screens and much higher brightness so they stay watchable in daylight and survive rain, humidity and temperature swings that would damage an indoor TV.

Can I leave my outdoor TV outside all year?

Yes. Every model in our range is IP55 rated, built to handle Australian conditions year round without needing to be brought inside.

How do I know if I need a full sun or partial sun TV?

If your screen will face direct sunlight for most of the day, choose full sun. If it sits under a patio roof, pergola or gets only a few hours of direct light, partial sun performs just as well for less.

What size outdoor TV should I get?

It depends on your viewing distance and the size of your space. Larger, open areas suit bigger screens; smaller patios often look best with 55 or 65 inch. Use our Help Me Choose tool for a personalised recommendation, or compare sizes side by side.
