Middleton Tavern Transforms Outdoor Spaces with Spark Outdoor TVs

South Australian venue boosts patron experience and engagement with outdoor entertainment technology.

Middleton Tavern has elevated its outdoor experience by installing two Spark Outdoor TVs into newly built outdoor areas, creating a relaxed atmosphere where customers can enjoy live sport and entertainment outside.

The decision to invest in Spark Outdoor TVs was driven by a desire to extend the venue’s entertainment offering and provide patrons with a premium viewing option outdoors.

“We decided to install two Spark Outdoor TVs into our beer gardens so customers can enjoy the entertainment on the TV in the relaxed atmosphere of the outdoor area,” said Nigel Mack, General Manager at Middleton Tavern.

Since the installation, both outdoor spaces have seen high levels of engagement. Patrons frequently gather to watch live sport — the primary use for the screens — with occasional use for music and other entertainment.

“We’ve had lots of customers say how great the TVs look, the quality of the picture, and they’ve even asked where we got them from,” added Nigel.

Positioned in key feature areas, the Spark Outdoor TVs ensure visibility from the best vantage points in the tavern’s outdoor spaces. The result is a venue that offers both atmosphere and functionality, encouraging patrons to stay longer and enjoy the game.

With hospitality venues across Australia increasingly turning to outdoor areas to extend patron dwell time, Middleton Tavern’s investment demonstrates how outdoor screens can add tangible value.

When asked if he would recommend Spark Outdoor TVs to other venues, Nigel’s answer was simple: “Yes.”

Covered outdoors, for 2 years

Most indoor TVs lose their manufacturer warranty once they are installed outside. Spark TVs are built for Australian outdoor conditions and come with a 2-year warranty, with support from our local team.

FAQ

What is the difference between an outdoor TV and a regular TV?

Outdoor TVs are built with weatherproof housings, anti-glare screens and much higher brightness so they stay watchable in daylight and survive rain, humidity and temperature swings that would damage an indoor TV.

Can I leave my outdoor TV outside all year?

Yes. Every model in our range is IP55 rated, built to handle Australian conditions year round without needing to be brought inside.

How do I know if I need a full sun or partial sun TV?

If your screen will face direct sunlight for most of the day, choose full sun. If it sits under a patio roof, pergola or gets only a few hours of direct light, partial sun performs just as well for less.

What size outdoor TV should I get?

It depends on your viewing distance and the size of your space. Larger, open areas suit bigger screens; smaller patios often look best with 55 or 65 inch. Use our Help Me Choose tool for a personalised recommendation, or compare sizes side by side.
